Tuesday marked another setback for the sports world, as the 2020 Summer Olympic Games were postponed due to concerns about coronavirus. USA Disappoints by Finishing Seventh in World Cup, Still Ranks Better than in Education

Basketball has always been an American sport, and the FIBA World Cup rankings for many years showed that. However, by finishing seventh in the 2019 tournament, the United States has officially been knocked off its perch; they do note, though, that they still rank higher in basketball than they do in public education.

Rapinoe Cites Not Visiting White House as Key Motivation in World Cup Win

On Sunday, the US Women’s National Team won their fourth World Cup and second in a row, led by the politically charged Megan Rapinoe and her 61’ goal. After the game, Rapinoe revealed that her key motivation in the final match was her aspiration to not visit the White House after the victory.
